With the theme "Vinawoman", Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 - the National Costume Design contest has been very successful in encouraging contestants to create designs that show the talents, bravery, and noble values of Vietnamese women in the new era. By bringing cultural symbols to the costumes, the contest at the same time preserved the national quintessence while touching new levels of creativity, interwoven between tradition and modernity.
Passionate students from many universities expressed their thoughts and showed the breakthrough of the "Gen Z" generation. It can be said that it was the intersection between two eras, all of which were reflected in the aesthetic contest products.
At the end of the contest, the best design revealed the spirit of the female warrior with strong lines, vibrant and bright colors but still carried the traditional Vietnamese cultural values.
The best design - first prize of the National Costume Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 - belongs to Nguyen Quoc Viet - a student majoring in Fashion Design at Ton Duc Thang University.
